I'll be the first to admit that I constantly second guess myself when it comes to making things. I'm sure I am not alone in seeing "faults" in things I have created that I only I can see. I also tend to worry about my fabric combinations and will sometimes spend days deliberating about what fabrics to use together.
I have discovered that Big N seems to have an eye for finding combinations that work - he usually puts things together that I wouldn't but they always seem to sell and often become combos that will be requested for custom orders. So when I was deliberating about what to use from my stash to trial a new pattern of course I asked him. In our usual fashion we made less then flattering comments about each other's choices and he ended up challenging me to make up two outfits - one in his choice and one in mine and put it up for public debate.
So I have - and without telling you which is my choice and which is his - here they are:
Both outfits are a size 12-18 months and consist of a dress made using an Owlybaby pattern and matching bloomers. The dress is designed to sit above the knee so it doesn't hamper crawling babies! Once I get hold of a baby the right size I will get some modelled shots.
I'm hoping you love them as much as I do and if you would love to get your hands on one its simple - all you need to do is leave a comment under this post telling me which colour combination you prefer - pink or orange, before midnight on October 31st. I will then use one of those random number generators and the person who made corresponding comment number will win the outfit in the colour they preferred, with postage paid within Australia. (Thats not to say you can't enter, or win if you are outside Australia, just that you will need to cover the cost of posting it to you).
